The Contractor has completed Block 1, Block 2, Block 3, Block 4 and the Auxiliary Gym portion of Block 5.
The Block 5 Main Gymnasium is expected to be complete except for wall graphics by December 16, 2007. The School should be able to hold they scheduled event on the 17th.
The Demolition of the Old South Junior High School is complete. The placement of the asphalt base for the visitor/teacher/student Parking Lot started December 4, 2007 after the completion of the curbs. The Parking Lot and Bus Lanes are expected to be usable by December 16, 2007, but, is dependent on weather conditions.
The new Track replacement of the old track is complete except for the synthetic surface. The Synthetic surface will not be applied until next spring as the surface cannot be applied unless the overnight temperature is at least 50 degrees. Most of the Landscape plantings have been accomplished.
Temporary parking for the staff and visitors to South Junior High School has been near the southwest corner of the site. The temporary Bus drop-off road was constructed near the west side of the site adjacent to Louisiana Street. The Parent/student drop-off and pick-up areas was established at the Broken Arrow Park. An asphalt walking path was installed from Broken Arrow Park to the southwest corner of the new South JHS building for students being dropped off at the Broken Arrow Park Parking Lot. The temporary parking and the temporary walkway will be removed after the Parking Lot is completed.
The Broken Arrow Elementary School bus drive and parking lot is for the Broken Arrow students, staff and their visitors.
The Broken Arrow Elementary School Addition is complete and occupied.
